In a shocking turn of events, Davide Frattesi could return to his boyhood club.

After leaving the Giallorossi youth sector many years ago, the Inter midfielder has once again ended up in the sights of the capital club.

The player’s pricetag, initially valued at 45 million, is now reportedly the subject of negotiations that could lead to a more modest figure.

Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi has started talks with Frattesi’s agent, Giuseppe Riso, exploring various options to make the deal sustainable.

One of the options includes a loan with an obligation to buy and deferred payments.

Roma could count on an alliance with Inter, which in turn could ask for Bryan Cristante to be included in the deal.

For now, Il Corriere dello Sport writes, Frattesi has not officially requested a transfer, but if he were to decide to leave Milan, the Giallorossi seem to be the favorites to welcome him.
