Celtic maintained their impressive form in the Scottish Premiership after beating Kilmarnock 2-0 on Sunday afternoon away from Parkhead.
It has been a great week for the Bhoys, who also picked up a massive win against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
Celtic were not at their usual best against Kilmarnock, but the Hoops found an extra gear to pick up all three points.
Callum McGregor scored the opening goal towards the end of the first half, and Nicolas Kuhn doubled the lead in the second half.
The home side created some fabulous chances, and Celtic should thank Kasper Schmeichel for producing a magnificent performance, as they managed to keep a clean sheet somehow.
The Daily Record described one of his saves as “stunning” and has given him a 9/10 rating for his superlative effort.
The Rugby Park side went toe-to-toe with Celtic, and Schmeichel played a blinder to remind everyone that he’s still a top-class goalkeeper.
Since joining in the summer, he has had an easy ride at Celtic, as the Bhoys are so dominant in the league. He has not been tested enough during his time in Scotland.
However, it was a different story on Sunday, and he produced a performance that is worthy of remembering. The Danish goalkeeper made as many as six saves, and some of them were spectacular.
He showed some incredible footwork in making some of those saves.
The Celtic boss felt that it was a “brilliant” win for his side, adding that the Celtic goalkeeper made some great saves, and hailed him as “world-class”.
Rodgers said: “Kasper made some great saves. You could see him with the ball as well, how he could play through the pressure, which is important.
“But at times we could have held it up better to allow us to join in more.
“Then, like I said, he was tested and had to make saves. I know that’s what he’s world-class at. His shot-stopping is unbelievable. So he was a big reference for us.”
