Stefan Posch completed a move to join Como today on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy from fellow Serie A side Bologna.

Stefan Posch signs for Como
On their official website, Como published comments from Posch, with the defender saying “I am really happy to be joining an ambitious club like Como. I cannot wait to start this new adventure, meet my new teammates, work with the staff and take to the pitch in front of amazing fans in such a fascinating stadium.
“I have already spoken to the manager, who explained the club’s project to me: it is really exciting. There is a young, hungry team with a great desire to grow. I am ready to give my all.”
Como head coach Cesc Fabregas also took time to welcome the Austrian defender, “With Stefan we are adding great experience to our defence. He is a player who has played in two of Europe’s top leagues and has also gained a solid understanding of international competitions. We are delighted to welcome him.”

Posch joins Fabregas’ team after two seasons with Bologna, after signing for the Rossoblu from Bundesliga outfit TSG Hoffenheim in 2023. Since his arrival in Italy, the defender played 87 times for the club before spending the second half of last season on loan with Atalanta.
With Bologna, Posch played a big part under Thiago Motta when the club qualified for the 2024-25 Champions League and will helping to carry his experience over to an up-and-coming side who will also be dreaming of European football.
