Bristol City battled back from a two-goal deficit to earn a draw against Preston North End, a result that guarantees their place in the division for next season.
The draw also marked the 20th draw of the season for Paul Heckingbottom’s side - the Lilywhites sharing the spoils on more occasions than any other club across England’s top four leagues this year.
Out of curiosity, we looked into how often teams have drawn 20 or more times in a Championship season since the league's 2004 rebrand. It turns out it has only happened eight times previously.
This is actually, however, the second time Preston have hit that milestone. In the 2005/06 season, under Billy Davies, the team went on a 22-game unbeaten run, made the play-offs, but ultimately lost to Leeds United at the semi-final stage.
Stoke City hold the all-time record for most draws in a Championship season, registering 22 in the 2018/19 campaign following their relegation from the Premier League.
