Another Tuesday night of some English football league action, with four of Spurs' loanees featuring across three games, let's take a look at how they got on.
It was another brilliant display for Israeli winger Manor Solomon and his Leeds United team mates as they thumped Watford 0-4 at Vicrage Road. The Whites scored two goals in the first half an hour to give them a solid advantage, and just a few minutes later Solomon himself would get onto the scoresheet. A quick throw-in was then played into him roughly twenty five out from goal, where the 25-year-old would unleash a superb effort into the far corner to give Leeds a 0-3 lead at the break.
In the second half just after the hour mark Leeds would make it four, and this time Solomon would turn provider, squaring it for a simple tap in. Solomon was then brought off in the 77th minute with the game done and dusted, as well as scoring and assisting he also created another big chance that was failed to be converted, and he completed two out of the three dribbles he attempted, putting in another man of the match display. Leeds are now sitting pretty on 69 points and top of the league. They will next host fellow promotion chasers Sunderland, which will be live on Sky Sports Main Event on Monday 17th February.
Sticking with the Championship, youngster Yang Min-hyeok was back in action with West London club Queens Park Rangers, as they travelled to Coventry. Once again the South Korean would start on the bench for the R's, but he would come on to try and make an impact in the 71st minute with the game still deadlocked at 0-0, but failed to realy do so with the winger having only nine touches in the 20 minutes he was on the pitch. Min-hyeok's night would get even worse when he and his team would concede a ninety forth minute winner right at the death to lose the game 1-0. QPR were starting to make a charge for a play-off spot, but have now lost three in their last four. They next have a home game against 21st place Derby County, which they would expect to win.
Going into League One now, it was back to the bread and butter for Leyton Orient stars Josh Keeley and Jamie Donley. After their impressive displays in the FA Cup against Manchester City at the weekend, the O's would be back at their home ground this time to play Mansfield. Orient would take a very early lead in the sixth minute and then double it fairly quickly just before twenty minutes. The O's would soon make it three just after the half hour mark to give them a more than comfortable lead at the break.
Not Donley's best game on a personal level, and he was substituted on 76 minutes, some well earned rest for the 19-year-old, who had been really impressive as of late. Keeley made four saves as he was more than determined to keep yet another clean sheet, and he did just that as Leyton Orient eased to a 3-0 victory, getting themselves back on track after the 0-1 defeat to Stockport. The East Londoners now sit 7th and just two points off the play-offs after what was a horrific start to the season, showing the impact the two Spurs boys have had. Orient's next game is a home fixture vs Lincoln City this Saturday coming.
