Alvaro Morata in awe

Spain teammate Alvaro Morata, now playing for Galatasaray, recently highlighted another side of Pedri that often goes unnoticed—his selflessness.

The former Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid striker spoke of the Barcelona midfielder’s altruistic nature, not just on the pitch but in the dressing room as well.

“Pedri is super altruistic,” Morata stated as quoted by Mundo Deportivo. “When Ferran got injured, he was there for him, trying to lift his spirits. He’s a great teammate.”

Not the first time

This is not the first time Morata has heaped praise on Pedri.

Back in 2021, when the Barcelona starlet was making his early appearances for Spain, Morata—who was facing jeers from sections of the national team’s fanbase—was already convinced of Pedri’s special talent.

“Pedri blows my mind; he plays like he’s 40,” Morata said at the time.

“Some players take a long time to handle pressure, while others have it naturally. Very few have his personality and attitude. He will be one of the best in Spanish history.”

With Barcelona dreaming of a historic treble, Pedri’s importance to the team cannot be overstated.
