Manchester United have already wrapped up their first summer signing, as Enzo Kana-Biyik has put pen to paper.

The 18-year-old is a Le Havre youth product who has been making waves for his impressive displays upfront for the club’s U19 side this season. The young striker has scored nine goals and provided one assist in 15 appearances.

In recent weeks, Kana-Biyik has been heavily linked with a move to Man Utd, and several sources have now confirmed that the teenager has already signed a contract with the Premier League giants on Thursday.

According to CentreDevils, the promising centre-forward passed his medical earlier in the day before inking his contract with the Red Devils.

Kana-Biyik’s contract with Le Havre will expire at the end of the season, so he will now finish off his campaign with the Ligue 1 club before joining United’s ranks in the summer as a free agent.

The news has also been confirmed by German journalist Christopher Michel. The transfer market expert reveals that Man Utd were able to beat off stern competition to land the coveted teenager, particularly from Chelsea, Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Paris native is the son of André Kana-Biyik, a former Cameroonian international player, while two of his brothers are in the PSG academy.

What will be Kana-Biyik’s role at Man Utd next season?

It remains to be seen if the young striker will gain any minutes with United’s first team next season, or will exclusively feature for the club’s youth ranks.

This could largely depend on how fast he settles in Manchester, as well as the competition.

Nevertheless, the management will certainly be aiming to add a top-notch striker to their ranks in the summer, in addition to the expected arrival of Matheus Cunha.
