Manchester United will not be accepting any low-balling proposals for their most sellable assets this summer.
Namely, Alejandro Garnacho, who has now seemingly played the last of his 144 first-team appearances for the Red Devils ahead of a widely anticipated summer move.
The forward’s post-match antics in the aftermath of the Europa League final defeat, during which he labelled his side’s campaign as ‘sh*t’, rued Ruben Amorim’s decision to bench him for the tie, and hinted a move away, resulted in Garnacho being told to ‘pray’ he could find another club by his manager.

Four days after the final when United hosted Aston Villa for the final Premier League fixture of the campaign, the Argentine was omitted from Amorim’s matchday squad entirely, making it crystal clear where his future lies.
With reports since making the Reds’ desire to sell Garnacho public knowledge, he has garnered a host of suitors across Europe. Aston Villa and Chelsea are likely to give him the option of continuing to ply his trade in the English top flight, although the former’s pursuit is thought to be dependent on whether they’re made to offload Morgan Rogers in a bid to comply with PSR.
Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen have established their interest from across the continent, the latter of which would see him reunite with ex-manager Erik ten Hag after he was appointed to succeed Xabi Alonso.
Unfortunately, though, the 2023/2024 Bundesliga invincibles are being priced out of a move due to the ‘immense package of transfer fee and wages’ — as per Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
He adds that while the Argentine is indeed ‘set to leave’ in the coming months, a transfer to Leverkusen is ‘currently very unlikely’, with the side now pursuing alternative options to adequately replace the Liverpool-bound Florian Wirtz.
