Borussia Dortmund are once again considering a move for Chelsea defender Renato Veiga this summer according to Sky Germany.
Veiga only joined Chelsea last summer in a surprise deal worth €14m from Swiss side FC Basel, but it appears his time at Stamford Bridge is already over.
The 22-year-old is now a Portugal international, but made it clear in January he wanted to leave the club to play regular minutes in his preferred centre back position.
Veiga spent the second half of the season on loan at Juventus, and he wasn’t part of the Chelsea squad for the Club World Cup.
Following the news Levi Colwill had suffered an ACL injury there had been talk of whether Veiga could be reintegrated into the first team squad.

However, that is highly unlikely to happen, and it’s been reported the expectation is Chelsea will sell Veiga before the end of the window.
Veiga saw a move to Atletico Madrid fall through earlier this summer, whilst Bayern Munich have also been linked.
Clubs in Saudi Arabia are reportedly keen on Veiga, but Sky Germany have reported Dortmund are once again considering the Portuguese.
The report adds Dortmund had agreed terms with Veiga last summer, but he opted to join Chelsea instead, whilst they also explored a move for the defender in January.
Chelsea are line to make a considerable profit on Veiga, who made 18 appearances in all competitions over the first half of last season.
Veiga isn’t the only defender Chelsea are trying to sell before the end of the window, with Disasi also falling into that category.
