Beadle arrived at Hillsborough during the January transfer window, and played a pivotal role in preserving Wednesday's Championship status.

The report suggests that Owls manager Danny Rohl is keen on bringing Beadle back to the club this summer, but uncertainty has surrounded the likelihood of his return due to Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi reportedly wanting to take a look at the goalkeeper during preseason.

It also reports that any potential summer move by Wednesday for Beadle could be further complicated as interest is reportedly growing in Brighton shot stopper Jason Steele, as this could have a knock-on effect on the availability of Beadle.

But it does confirm that the Premier League side are planning to loan the rising star out on loan this summer, regardless of any potential Steele sale.

Although, despite Wednesday being unsurprisingly keen to bring him back, there is no current indication as to where the Owls lie in the pecking order for his signature, or indeed if Beadle would be open to a return to South Yorkshire.

Beadle's return would be an excellent start to the summer

The 19-year-old enjoyed a highly impressive loan spell with Rohl's side this season, and the England youth international looks likely to spend the best years of his career playing at the top level.

His performances between the sticks earned the Owls crucial points, with back-to-back clean sheets against West Brom and Sunderland respectively coming at no better time for Wednesday.

Securing his signature for another season would allow Wednesdayites to breathe a lot easier heading into next season, knowing that a safe pair of hands will once again be keeping out opposition forwards on a regular basis.

It would also mean Rohl and his recruitment team can get straight to work with full focus on other areas of the squad that need improving, without having to worry about the goalkeeping situation.

Hillsborough would be perfect place for Beadle's development

With Wednesday's most senior goalkeeper Cameron Dawson set to enter the free agent market this summer, 18-year-old Pierce Charles and 19-year-old Jack Hall would be Wednesday's only remaining goalkeeping options.

Charles has only made a couple of FA Cup appearances for the Owls, whilst Hall has yet to make his senior debut for the club.

Both youngsters are highly rated at the club, with both keepers earning youth international honours for England and Northern Ireland respectively, but it would still present as a significant risk to enter the new season with either of those youngsters as Rohl's number one.

Beadle quickly became a fan favourite on the Hillsborough terraces, and the strides of improvement he took under Rohl were made clear for all to see.

And with his most senior rival for the starting gloves this season looking set to seek pastures new over the summer, Beadle would appear to have a clear run at a full season of 90 minute action.

This would surely be exactly what Brighton would be looking for when searching for his accomodation for next season, and as such Wednesday should be first in line to welcome back the bright young star for another season.
