It is no secret that Roque’s future at Barcelona seems uncertain. Despite his desire to remain at the club, complications in registering him have led to various speculations about his potential departure.

Clubs from Saudi Arabia and other La Liga teams have shown interest, making these destinations more appealing to Roque. However, Sevilla are not one of the clubs looking to sign him.

Why did Sevilla withdraw?

While Sevilla are in the market for a new striker, sources within the club have said that Roque is not a candidate they are considering. This stance holds for both loan and transfer deals.

The main reasons are the financial aspects, as Roque’s transfer cost of €31 million, plus an additional €30 million in, does not align with Sevilla’s budgetary constraints.

The club has other potential players in mind whose salaries fit better within their financial plans.

Meanwhile, in recent developments, Al-Hilal have shown a strong interest in Roque. Several reports from Saudi Arabia suggest that a transfer might be in the works.

Roque has rejected several offers

There are even reports that Barcelona had approved Roque’s move to Saudi Arabia. However, the final decision rests with the player, and they still need his approval for the transfer to proceed.

Earlier, Roque had turned down an offer from Corinthians, a Brazilian club interested in bringing him back to his home country. This refusal indicates that Roque is considering his options carefully and might prefer a move to a more lucrative or competitive league.

As the situation stands, Roque is at a crossroads in his career. His future at Barcelona is unclear due to registration issues, and while he has interest from various clubs, Sevilla are not among them.

The club is focusing on more financially viable options for their striker needs. Meanwhile, Roque must decide if a move to Saudi Arabia, which seems more probable now, aligns with his career goals.
