A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla has on Friday been forced into a premature departure from international duty.

The player in question? Loïc Badé.

Stopper Badé, for his part, departed Andalusia earlier this week, to link up with Didier Descamps’ star-studded France national team squad.

Whilst his teammates are currently locked in action in a Nations League meeting with Italy, however, the 24-year-old has been sent back to base in Spain.

This comes, according to Andrés Onrubia Ramos of Diario AS, owing to a hamstring injury.

Badé is understood to have pulled up during a training session on Thursday, with an ensuing round of medical tests having revealed damage to his hamstring.

The stopper will undergo further scans upon touching back down in Seville, the results of which will determine the length of his incoming spell out of action.

García Pimienta’s Sevilla are set to mark their post-international break return to action on Saturday, September 14th, in a La Liga meeting with Getafe.
