Sevilla have secured their new manager | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Sevilla have reached a full agreement with the man set to become the club’s next head coach.

That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Matias Almeyda as the tactician in question.

The subject of the club’s manager hunt has of course dominated the headlines at Sevilla for several weeks now.

This comes with Joaquín Caparrós, following his return in April, having put pen to paper on terms only through the summer.

A whole host of tacticians from across the Spanish football landscape and beyond, in turn, have been linked with the hotseat at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

And as alluded to above, late this week, the Sevilla brass appear to have made a final call on the club’s next manager.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano, citing journalist César Luis Merlo:

‘Matias Almeyda agrees to become new head coach at Sevilla on initial three year contract. Agreement done and contracts set to be signed despite link with Italian clubs.’

Almeyda for his part most recently spent time on the bench at Greek giants AEK Athens this past season.
