‘Senior sources’ apparently ‘fear’ Chelsea’s project in ill-timed news from journalist | OneFootball

It might well be a case of ‘read the room’ here with this ill-timed news that is going to infuriate Chelsea fans reading this Sunday morning.

The Blues lost 2-1 against Aston Villa on Saturday evening after being 1-0 up inside the first 20 minutes. I think Chelsea fans would have just expected even at that point, that their side were still going to lose this game, and they did.

Yet another horror goalkeeper error from Chelsea saw Villa grab the winning goal near the end of the game, but we all saw it coming.

Chelsea could not score and were really terrible. Even Cole Palmer was terrible, and he was seen trying to blame others for a bad pass that HE himself made. This just about sums everything up right now.

So fans are not going to be happy at all right now, with many of them set to join a protest against the ownership and the way they are operating later this week.

I don’t think one single Chelsea fan is going to buy this ‘update’ this morning off the back of Chelsea only winning 1 game in the last 11 played in all competitions and it becoming somewhat of a crisis situation once again as it so often has been under this ownership.

They’ve spent SO much money in the three years they have been here, yet we are seeing ZERO signs of any success coming back to Chelsea soon.

Even still, other clubs believe the Chelsea project will come good. Maybe in the year 2030? What about all the years leading up to that though? As in the last three!?

Journalist Ben Jacobs said on a space on X last night, ‘senior sources at Liverpool, Arsenal and other clubs believe that Chelsea’s model is going to work and fear Chelsea’s ambition.’
