Antoine Semenyo has signed a new contract at Bournemouth to end speculation over his future.

The winger has been subject of approaches from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United this summer but has committed to a new contract at the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth had been reluctant to lose the 25-year-old in a summer that will see the Cherries combat the exits of Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez. There is also significant interest in centre-back Ilya Zabarnyi with Paris Saint-Germain pursuing a deal.

Semenyo has put pen to paper on an extension until 2023, with the new contract including a sizeable pay rise.

Bournemouth had put a valuation of around £65m on the winger this summer in a bid to ward off suitors. Semenyo scored 13 goals in all competitions for Bournemouth last season, adding seven assists, but is understood to have not pushed for an exit.

“I’ve grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I’m really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season,” he told the club’s official website.

“From the fans to the staff and my team-mates, I can’t speak highly enough of the people around the club.

“It’s a great place to be and I’m excited to get back to Bournemouth and continue the hard work with the new season just around the corner.”
