Saint-Étienne predicted XI v Strasbourg: Irvin Cardona and Lucas Stassin to start despite niggles | OneFootball

Two of AS Saint-Étienne’s key players aren’t at full fitness but are expected to start against RC Strasbourg Alsace on Saturday afternoon.

Irvin Cardona has been suffering with some adductor pain ahead of the trip to Alsace, however, he is expected to start against Strasbourg. Lucas Stassin, Les Verts’ top scorer in Ligue 1 with 12 goals this season, has not been able to train full this week due to a thigh issue that he has felt for the last fortnight. However, like Cardona, he is expected to play through the pain for Saint-Étienne in what is a key match in their bid to secure safety in Ligue 1.

There are absences, however, with the likes of Pierre Cornud, Benjamin Bouchouari, and Augustine Boakye all out for Eirik Horneland’s side.
