AC Milan signed Strahinja Pavlovic in the summer and had high hopes for the young defender. However, his start has certainly been difficult.
Signing the young Serb definitely came with risks, especially considering the other options that were available on the market, and thus far, the risk isn’t paying off.
In the early stages of the season, Pavlovic was highlighted as one of Milan’s only performing players. However, a poor performance against Liverpool caused a drop in faith, and he has struggled to recover since, especially with others solidifying themselves in the picture.
If things are bad with the Rossoneri, you could argue that they are worse on international duty.
During the last international break, Pavlovic found himself on the receiving end of a dismissal when his side faced Spain, and once again, he was dismissed when his National Team faced Denmark. Which Radio Rossonera states to be a poor ending to a decent night and a relapse of the previous international break.
The report states that his second yellow, which arrived in the 95th minute, was not a summary of a poor performance, but instead, a souring taste on a decent display. Two yellow cards are poor in themselves, but both coming within five minutes is extremely questionable.
Ultimately, his aggressive streak must be turned down, as it will only be punished – whether that be by cards or by allowing his attacker through. A change must be made, and Pavlovic needs to make it.
