Roma are reportedly in pole position to land Man City fullback Sergio Gomez.

The Spanish left-back is no longer part of City’s plans and could be moved this summer.

Over recent weeks, the player was included in Roma’s summer shortlist.

The Giallorossi are currently seeking additional reinforcements on the flanks and Gomez seems to be the leading candidate for the job.

Although Real Sociedad have come forward for the 23-year-old, Roma are being cited as the favorites in the race for Gomez.

According to Relevo, Roma have advanced a great deals in their talks with Man City and are edging closer to the finish line that would guarantee the player’s signature.
