Roma is accelerating its pursuit of Flamengo right-back Wesley, identified as a priority reinforcement to complete the defensive line ahead of the start of the training camp.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Giallorossi have submitted an initial offer of €20 million after reaching an agreement with the player.

Flamengo, however, is not willing to accept a lower offer: the Brazilian club values ​​the 22-year-old player at around €25 million, the same amount offered by Zenit St. Petersburg.

Despite the higher financial offer, the player has rejected the Russian destination, expressing his desire to move to Roma.

To unblock the deal, the Giallorossi have intensified direct contact between sporting director Massara and his Flamengo counterpart, Boto.

The goal is to close the deal quickly, also to forestall the growing interest from several Premier League clubs that could enter the dossier in the coming days.
