The latest reports from Argentina regarding a release clause in favor of Boca Juniors in Leandro Paredes’ new contract have been dismissed by Roma.

Recent rumors from Argentina claimed that Leandro Paredes’ contract with Roma included a clause that would have allowed Boca Juniors to purchase him for 3.5 million euros starting from May 2025.

However, the Giallorossi club have categorically denied the existence of this clause. Paredes, who returned to Roma in the summer of 2023, has signed an agreement valid until June 30, 2026.

The Argentine midfielder therefore remains a fixed point of the team, without any contractual constraints that would facilitate his possible departure to Argentina.
