Roma are making progress in their talks for Gian Piero Gasperini.

The veteran technician is now the favorite to take over Roma’s bench.

According to the latest report by Sky Sport, Roma are cautiously optimistic about Gasperini’s arrival in the coming days.

The signs are indeed encouraging, adds Gianluca Di Marzio, as there is a great feeling between the club, Ranieri and the coach.

There is a three-year contract on the table and today, Tuesday 27 May, Gasperini formally asked Atalanta to be able to negotiate with other clubs.

The coach had taken his time because he wanted to talk to the club and understand if he had the motivation to continue together.
