La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Lorenzo Pellegrini won’t leave Roma in January and will discuss his long-term future at the club in the coming months.
Pellegrini’s opening goal in Roma’s 2-0 win over Lazio on Sunday was a season-changer for the Italian midfielder.
The Giallorossi captain convinced Claudio Ranieri to start him against the Biancocelesti, making his first home appearance in Serie A in over two months.

The 28-year-old had had a tough start to the season, and his relationship with part of the Roma fanbase collapsed after Daniele De Rossi’s sacking in September.
Pellegrini had been linked with Napoli and Inter in January, but according to Gazzetta, Roma won’t discuss the Italian midfielder with any club this month.
Pellegrini also wants to stay, but his contract expires in 2026, so his long-term future at the club must be assessed.
Roma and the players’ agents will meet in the coming months to determine the next steps, but Pellegrini will surely end the season at the Stadio Olimpico.
