Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for teammate Alejandro Balde.
This comes owing to his exploits in Barca’s La Liga downing of arch rivals Real Madrid late last month.
The Blaugrana, of course, ran riot in the season’s first edition of El Clásico at the Santiago Bernabéu on October 26th.
The aforementioned Lewandowski, for his part, played a starring role for Hansi Flick’s side, notching a brace en route to an eventual 4-0 rout.
Laying on the Pole’s 2nd of the clash, meanwhile, was Alejandro Balde.
The Blaugrana defender conjured up a moment of brilliance early in the 2nd-half, planting an inch-perfect cross directly on the head of Lewandowski, who made no mistake in nodding home beyond Andriy Lunin.
And ‘Lewy’ has this week made clear that as much did not go at all unappreciated.
Speaking with La Liga after being handed his award for October Player of the Month, the veteran frontman had the following to say when drawn on his 2nd goal at the Bernabéu:
“Balde’s cross was perfect. Not too strong, and timed just right.”
