Mehdi Taremi will be arriving in Milan a few days early for preseason with Inter Milan.

Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, report that the 31-year-old will give himself a couple extra days to sort out the bureaucratic details as a non-EU citizen.

For months, it’s been clear that Taremi will become an Inter player this summer.

The Nerazzurri reached an agreement with the 31-year-old in January. He will join on a free transfer after his contract with Portuguese club Porto runs out.

Taremi has already completed his medicals and signed his deal.

The Iranian international has spoken about his excitement for the move to Inter openly.

However, as of yet, Taremi has not yet donned the Inter shirt as he gets ready to start his Nerazzurri adventure.

Mehdi Taremi Arriving Early To Sort Out Work Visa Ahead Of Inter Milan Move

One minor issue as far as Taremi’s move to Inter is that he is not an EU citizen.

The Iranian international attempted to obtain Portuguese citizenship ahead of his move.

Taremi not being an EU citizen is hardly the end of the world as far as Inter are concerned. Still, it would have allowed the Nerazzurri to have a non-EU slot in their squad free.

And for Taremi, it means that he will have to obtain a work visa in Italy before he begins his Inter career.

Therefore, Tuttosport anticipate, Taremi will be in Milan a few days prior to the start of Inter’s preseason training camp.

That way, when the preseason training starts, the 31-year-old striker can get straight work.

Therefore, Taremi is ready to cut his vacation short by a few days.

The Iranian wants to have everything in place by the time training begins. He wants to make the most out of the summer settling in, on and off the pitch.
