Piotr Zielinski should be joining the Inter Milan preseason training camp on the 16th or 17th of next month.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper anticipate a fairly early arrival for the Pole after his country’s group stage elimination from the Euros.
Inter will officially kick off their preparations for next season on July 13th.
That will be the date that the Nerazzurri’s preseason training camp begins.
And Inter coach Simone Inzaghi should have some new faces right away.
Striker Mehdi Taremi will be an Inter player by then, as he is signing on a free transfer when his contract with Porto expires.
The Iranian international plans to be part of the preseason training camp right from the start.
And then goalkeeper Josep Martinez should certainly have completed his move from Genoa by then.
And then Taremi is not the only big name free transfer signing who will soon be an Inter player. There is also Zielinski, coming in from Napoli.
Zielinski will, not be part of the preseason training camp of his new club right from the start.
The 30-year-old will still have his vacation after the Euros with Poland.
Zielinski started all three of Poland’s matches at the tournament.
But Poland were the first team to be dumped out of the group stage. Therefore, Zielinski is already on his holidays.
Therefore, whilst early elimination from the Euros is a disappointment for Zielinski, it is not necessarily a bad thing from Inter’s perspective.
The 30-year-old will be able to wrap his holidays up and arrive at Inter’s training camp by July 16th or 17th.
Meanwhile, a number of Inter players are still in action at the Euros and the Copa America. Therefore, they will be later arrivals.
