Sevilla are set to pay Inter Milan €4 million for 40% of the playing rights of midfielder Lucien Agoume.
This according to Spanish outlet ABC, via FCInterNews. They report that the Andalusian club are ready to acquire a total of 90% of the Frenchman’s playing rights.
Inter Milan sold midfielder Lucien Agoume to Sevilla last summer.
The La Liga club paid a fee of just €4 million to take the midfielder off of Inter’s hands.
There was a catch, however. The Nerazzurri retained 50% of Agoume’s playing rights as part of the deal.
Therefore, Inter would receive a sell-on fee equal to half of any transfer fee that Sevilla are to receive for Agoume in the future.

Sevilla, however, do have a further option in the deal for Agoume. They can buy a further 40% of the 23-year-old’s playing rights from Inter, reducing the sell-on fee they owe to just 10%.
This would be for another fee of €4 million.
And according to Spanish outlet ABC, there is little doubt that Sevilla intend to activate that option.
The Andalusians feel that Agoume’s value has risen sufficiently on the basis of his performances last season that it would be a worthwhile investment.
Therefore, Inter will receive another financial boost.
