Report reveals Xavi’s stance on the new Barcelona coach | OneFootball

FC Barcelona appointed Hansi Flick as the head coach of their first team after the departure of Xavi Hernandez at the end of the last season. The German coach took charge of the team in the summer and has led the Blaugranes to one of their best starts to the league season in the club’s history.

As things stand, Barcelona sit atop the La Liga table with a four-point cushion and have won all their matches in the league up to now. The Blaugranes have also scored 22 goals in their six matches, and there is no doubt that Flick is getting the best out of this Barcelona team.

With the way that Xavi had to leave the Catalan club, he had every right to hold a grudge with the club’s administration. However, as SPORT has reported, the former Barcelona coach has accepted the board’s decision, and does not want to worsen the atmosphere at the club by being an active critic of the board and its decisions.

Thus, his current stance regarding his beloved club is to enjoy the team’s performances along with the rest of the fanbase. He regularly visits the Montjuic whenever the team is playing at home, but watches most of the away games at home. However, he’s maintaining a low profile and staying away from the public eye.

The only things he talks about are the great work being done by Hansi Flick, and the way some of the youngsters like Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi are performing. Thus, Xavi still remains an ardent lover of the Blaugrana club and is taking this new role with the same humility and silence with which he had left the head coach’s position at the end of the last season.
