Operations are beginning to pick up the pace over at FC Barcelona it seems. The club is now finally more active in the transfer window and fans have been waiting since quite some time for this. Fortunately, Barcelona look set to acquire a new signing soon.
Various reputable reports and journalists have agreed that the club is looking to sign Marcus Rashford. The Manchester United winger has been having a hard time at the English club lately, but it now seems that a change of scenery is destined for him.

Even Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed that all involved parties had reached an agreement for the player’s transfer. In terms of the structure of the deal, it is set to be a loan deal with an option to buy included in it as well.
As for the exact actual value of that purchase option, MARCA has revealed more details. Reportedly, the buy option that is included in the Marcus Rashford deal is set at €35 million, and Barcelona would need to pay that amount at the end of the upcoming season if they wish to permanently retain the player.
Interestingly, this deal seems to have been favourable for La Blaugrana from various perspectives. For starters, even Florian Plettenberg recently confirmed that the deal would not be too expensive for Barcelona and that the player had even agreed to a significant salary cut to make it happen.
Moreover, MARCA also reported within this same update that Barcelona managed to negotiate the buy option and bring down Manchester United’s initial asking price. Initially, the English side wanted close to €50 million for the player, a value that is close enough to their previous reported asking price for him, but Barça reportedly managed to bring that down to €35 million.
As for Luis Diaz, the report claims that it seems to be the end of the line for that operation. After all, it is far too expensive for Barcelona to consider right now and the club is reportedly also not that interested in overextending themselves financially for the Colombian winger.
