Report – Pioli Wants To Sign Inter Milan Star At Fiorentina | OneFootball

Stefano Pioli reportedly wants to bring Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani to Fiorentina this summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Stefano Pioli is on the verge of taking over as Fiorentina coach.

And the former AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Lazio coach will need to make some changes to the squad ahead of his second spell in charge at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Notable, Pioli must bolster the midfield.

At the moment, La Viola have the likes of Rolando Mandragora, Amar Richardson, Nicolo Fagioli, and Cher Ndour as central midfield options.

And the Corriere note that, in particular, Fiorentina will need to sign a holding midfielder.

One target Fiorentina could be Samuele Ricci. However, the 23-year-old is also on the radar of some of Serie A’s biggest clubs.

Therefore, it is unlikely that the Tuscans could pull off a move for Ricci.

On the other hand, there is another former Empoli midfielder who Fiorentina are considering a move for.

Midfielder Kristjan Asllani has come to the end of his third season at Inter. And the Albanian has yet to really nail down a starting spot for himself.

Therefore, reports the Corriere dello Sport, Pioli is keen to bring Asllani to FIorentina.
