The 27-year-old joined Chelsea in 2023 but has struggled to find his best form and is now open to a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool see potential in his versatility and scoring ability, particularly after winning the Premier League under new manager Arne Slot.

The Reds are set to have a busy summer transfer window in which they are expected to strengthen several positions.

Liverpool are expected to have a changed attack

One of the positions high on their agenda this summer is the attacking position where players like Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota are facing an uncertain future.

Nkunku, who previously played for RB Leipzig, has been plagued by injuries and has only scored 17 goals in 56 appearances for Chelsea.

Despite his setbacks, Liverpool are considering a move for him, seeing potential in his versatility and scoring ability. Newcastle United are also showing interest in Nkunku, and Bayern Munich is another serious contender.

Bayern previously attempted to sign him in January and may revisit the deal as veteran Thomas Muller’s departure opens up a key attacking role.

Nkunku is a player who can play in a number of different positions in attack. He is comfortable as a lone striker as well as an attacking midfielder.

Along with the Chelsea star, the Reds are chasing a new right-back as well as a new left-back.

Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez is Liverpool’s primary target this summer as they look for a new left-back to provide competition to Andy Robertson and eventually develop his as his long term replacement.
