Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho believes his charges are wasting time on pursuing Inter Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu.

According to Goal via Fenerbahçe on Calhanoglu, Mourinho unhappy: the negotiation for the Inter player blocks the primary objectives, the Portuguese manager doesn’t approve of the club’s transfer strategy.

It’s not that Jose Mourinho didn’t want Fenerbahce to sign the 31-year-old midfielder.

Indeed, it’s the feasibility of the deal that concerns the ex-Nerazzurri boss.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce’s pursuit of other primary targets remains on hold.

And that’s what makes the ‘Special One’ furious.

Fenerbahce have emerged as the most realistic contenders to sign Hakan Calhanoglu after Galatasaray’s failed offer.

However, they’ve yet to present Inter with a formal bid despite Calhanoglu’s phone conversation with Ali Koc.

Indeed, the Canaries president reportedly convinced the former AC Milan playmaker to come to Istanbul.

Yet, official confirmations have yet to arrive.

On the other hand, Inter will only sell their first-team stalwart on their terms.

Their €30 million asking price may be beyond the Turkish giants’ reach.

As for Mourinho, he wants Fenerbahce to focus on signing Milan Skriniar and at least two wingers.
