Report: Chelsea appreciate €90m rated Champions League star with 25 g/a | OneFootball

Rafael Leao could leave AC Milan this summer and the Portugal international is appreciated by Chelsea according to reports in Italy.

Chelsea have already completed the signing of Liam Delap for £30m for Ipswich, with more new faces expected to follow.

The Blues are looking to sign a centre back, left winger and versatile attacker to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad ahead of the new season.

Rafael Leao appreciated by Chelsea

A striker was the main priority this summer and with Delap through the door attention now turns to bringing a winger in.

Chelsea are short of numbers in the wides areas following the departure of Jadon Sancho, whilst Noni Madueke is reportedly on Arsenal’s radar.

The Blues currently have Madueke, Pedro Neto and Tyrique George as the only wingers in the squad for the Club World Cup.

The Blues have identified Jamie Gittens as their priority target, whilst they have also made a verbal enquiry to Lyon for Malick Fofana.

However, it appears there’s another name on their radar and Calciomercato have reported Chelsea are admirers of Leao.

The report adds Bayern Munich are seriously considering a move, whilst Arsenal are also admirers of the 26-year-old.

Calciomercato add Milan are looking for a fee between €80-€90m to consider letting the Portuguese leave the San Siro.

Chelsea have previously been linked with Leao, who  is under contract until 2028 and scored 12 goals and registered 13 assists in 50 appearances in all competitions.

Jamie Gittens main target

Whilst Leao remains a possibility Gittens is absolutely the priority target, and Chelsea are hopeful of reaching an agreement with Borussia Dortmund.

The Blues had a bid of £42m rejected earlier this month, but Gittens has agreed terms on a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Gittens, who scored 12 goals last season including four in the Champions League is only interested in joining Chelsea, and it feels like it’s only a matter of when rather than if the transfer happens.
