Report – Barcelona pre-season plans and schedule under Hansi Flick | OneFootball

As the international tournaments enter their concluding stages, the commencement of the pre-season is in sight.

Traditionally availed to shake off the rust and enter a competitive rhythm ahead of the actual season, the pre-season will come in handy for the newly-appointed manager Hansi Flick, who has yet to oversee a game at the club.

With pre-season training with Hansi Flick starting this coming Wednesday, July 10, naturally, preparations are already underway at the club.

Barcelona’s plans for the pre-season

Now, Mundo Deportivo have come out to report that the club has outlined the first week’s plan under Flick to prepare for the upcoming season.

The customary medical check-ups at the dawn of the season are scheduled for the mornings of Wednesday, July 10th, and Thursday, July 11th.

Following medical clearance, the players will participate in their first training sessions, which are set for the afternoons on both days.

Hansi Flick will intensify the training regimen on Friday, July 12th, with sessions planned for both the morning and afternoon.

Saturday, July 13th, will feature a morning training session only. Flick has also slated a double training session for Sunday, July 14th.

As such, the German coach intends to round out his first week as Barça coach with a total of seven training sessions.

Who will Barcelona face in the pre-season tour?

Before leaving for their preseason tour to the United States, Barça will continue to train at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper through July 28.

They have games scheduled against AC Milan on August 6, Real Madrid on August 3, and Manchester City on July 30.

By preparing now, they hope to be prepared for their league debut on August 17 at Mestalla against Valencia and kickstart their title charge on a strong footing.
