According to an exclusive report out this week, Aston Villa are keen on signing a Chelsea star this summer, and it could help The Blues.

Chelsea beat Los Angeles FC 2-0 in their Club World Cup opening group game on Monday night in what was a very strange and subdued atmosphere in front of just 22,000 people in a huge stadium.

It was far from vintage Chelsea but in the end they just got the job done and three points on the board to set them up for a good starts.

The goals came from a lovely Nicolas Jackson assist to Pedro Neto to finish in the first half. And then new signing Liam Delap also provided a superb assist for Enzo Fernandez to run into the box and tap in to score.

According to GIVEMESPORT,Aston Villa are ready to enter discussions to try and tempt Nicolas Jackson away from Chelsea and reunite him with Unai Emery.

Emery is eyeing a reunion with Jackson at Aston Villa after previously working with him at La Liga giants Villarreal, according to the report, but he is having to remain patient as Chelsea have not publicly confirmed whether they would be prepared to sanction his departure during the summer.

Chelsea could use it to ask for Rogers

We all know that Chelsea are interested in Villa star Morgan Rogers, so perhaps they could use this apparent interest in Jackson as a way to try and land him.

Chelsea love a good ‘swap’ deal so I could certainly see them mentioning Rogers should Villa come knocking for Jackson. Maybe something can be done with this one.
