According to reports from Belgian media, while Dirk Kuyt’s Beerschot exit has not yet been announced, the club are already looking for a successor in the background.

Reports from Het Gazet van Antwerpen suggest that Zulte Waregem assistant Mo Messoudi is in the picture to replace Kuyt. The Dutchman’s exit is imminent, and follows an extended period that has seen the former player lament his club’s poor playing conditions and the unrest within the board.

Kuyt’s tenure started brightly with the Antwerp side, winning promotion as champions from the second division in his first season. However, a subsequent relegation back to the Challenger Pro League proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back as instability rumbled on in the background.
