Arsenal Shirt Collection report that Arsenal are set to release their 2024/25 away shirt on Thursday, July 18th. Though the date is still subject to change, that’s the current plan.

Reports suggest Arsenal will head off on their tour of the United States on July 21st, before playing their first friendly match against Bournemouth on July 24th (July 25th at 03:30 BST UK time).

If the away kit release date leaks are correct, the new shirt will be available for the team to wear throughout pre-season.

Back in May, images of the 2024/25 leaked online. The shirt uses a black base with red and green highlights, and a black and white patterned stripe on the sleeves and down the sides.

The explanation for the design of the kit is that it’s a homage to former Arsenal players David Rocastle and Ian Wright.

The black, red, and green colour scheme was previously used in a limited edition trainer called the Honor Oak, in reference to the part of London where both players grew up.

All of Arsenal’s kits for 2024/25 will use the cannon logo instead of the usual club badge.

Arsenal have reportedly decided to use next season to celebrate the cannon, though the crest isn’t about to disappear for good.

James McNicholas reported for The Athletic that changing the club’s crest to the cannon wouldn’t be a straightforward process, it would involve consultation with supporters, and it would be expensive.

Most importantly, there’s no suggestion Arsenal want to change it.

This isn’t the first time Arsenal have used a cannon as a badge. This season, the green third kit uses a cannon logo, as did the black away kit in 2022/23, and the yellow away kit in 2021/22.
