Red Star’s head coach Vladan Milojevic tore into the referee after his side were beaten 2-1 by AC Milan in the Champions League last night.
Milan did eventually get their fourth Champions League win in a row but they were made to work incredibly hard for the three points, especially after Radonjic came off the bench to equalise in the second half.
As the time ticked away and the home crowd grew more and more frustrated, Milan found the goal to get themselves back ahead in the 88th minute with Tammy Abraham pouncing after Francesco Camarda had a header tipped onto the bar.
However, the Red Star players were furious as they felt Matteo Gabbia had pushed the man on the line over, thus stopping him from potentially blocking the Englishman’s effort. VAR took a look at it, but awarded the goal as fair.
Milojovic spoke in the press conference room at San Siro to reflect on what was a very encouraging performance from his side but ultimately with nothing to show for it. MilanNews relayed his comments.
Was Milan’s second goal fair?
“There was a clear foul and the referee didn’t blow the whistle. Period.”

You could have even won…
“We couldn’t bring home the points because someone didn’t want to give them to us. Today is a disgrace. In the Champions League you can’t deny a foul so arrogantly, even with a smile on your face.
“We come from a small country, Serbia, with many problems and many challenges, and today I am the proudest person in the world right now.”
Did you expect Milan to be like this?
“We played at San Siro against a great Milan. But I’m interested in thinking that we are a team.”
