Lamine Yamal’s recent promotion to Barcelona’s number 10 shirt has sparked a commercial phenomenon.
According to CuleMania, the club has already seen record-breaking sales of Yamal’s new jersey, moving around 70,000 pieces within just 24 hours of the official announcement.
This sales explosion has generated a staggering €10 million in revenue on the first day alone.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, July 16, and by the same afternoon, fans were already lining up at the Barça Botiga at the Spotify Camp Nou to get their hands on Yamal’s new shirt.
The excitement only grew stronger the next day, with Thursday’s sales multiplying rapidly. While Barcelona haven’t yet released official numbers, sources close to the club admit that the sales figures are spectacular.
Reports confirm the 70,000-shirt milestone and suggest that Barcelona are on track for one of their most successful merchandise launches ever.
Barcelona’s management is confident that giving Lamine Yamal the legendary number 10 shirt will bring long-term financial benefits.

The club sees Yamal as the perfect figure to carry on the legacy of Barça greats like Lionel Messi. From a marketing perspective, the decision is already proving to be a masterstroke.
Both Barça and Nike were well-prepared for the demand, ensuring that the new number 10 shirt did not sell out during the first wave of purchases.
Thanks to improvements in their new agreement with Nike, Barcelona have also recovered full control of their online store. E-commerce has played a crucial role, with a significant number of shirts sold directly through the internet.
Can break all-time record
This success has set a new standard for Barça Licensing & Merchandising (BLM). In fact, club sources believe they are on track to break the all-time revenue record for the 2024/25 season.
Last year, BLM generated between €140 and €150 million, but this year’s sales are expected to go even higher.
President Joan Laporta is confident that the combination of Yamal’s popularity and the club’s marketing strategy will make this one of the most profitable seasons in Barcelona’s recent history.
