Real Madrid can move level on points with leaders Barcelona in La Liga with a victory over Leganes on Saturday evening.
The Spanish champions return to action at the Bernabeu against the relegation-threatened visitors. Barcelona moved three points clear after beating Osasuna on Thursday night, increasing the pressure on Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
However, Real enter the game on a run of four consecutive wins and will be strong favourites against a Leganes side currently 18th in the table.
Carlo Ancelotti will be relieved to see his team return from the international break unscathed.
Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo will want to bounce back after criticism of their displays for Brazil during the break.
Dani Carvajal and Eder Millitao remain long-term absentees with ACL injuries, while fellow defenders Ferland Mendy and Jesus Vallejo are also out. Dani Ceballos is not yet fit to return from a hamstring issue.
Kylian Mbappe will again lead the line as he hunts down Robert Lewandowski in the race for the Pichichi Trophy. The second-highest scorer in La Liga this season, Mbappe is three goals behind Barcelona’s Lewandowski.
Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois; Vazquez, Asencio, Rudiger, Garcia; Valverde, Tchouameni, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappe, Vinicius.
Real Madrid host Leganes in La Liga on Saturday 29th March 2025. Kick-off in Madrid is 20:00 GMT.
The match will streamed live via Premier Sports Player and La Liga TV.
