According to journalist Melchor Ruiz, Real Madrid are furious with FIFA after their chaotic journey back to their team hotel in Palm Beach.
The players and staff only arrived shortly after 5 a.m., leaving them exhausted and frustrated just days before a crucial match.
The club believes the issue was caused by a serious organisational error by FIFA, specifically in how the return flight from Philadelphia to Palm Beach was managed after their 3-0 win over RB Salzburg.
Real Madrid finished the Salzburg game very late, but instead of a smooth journey back, the squad endured a long night of travel that robbed them of the rest and recovery time they desperately needed.
It is no surprise that the club’s leaders are angry, as proper planning for players’ rest is key at this stage of the competition.

In a tournament as important as the Club World Cup, these mistakes can have a big impact on performance, and Real Madrid have every right to feel upset about the situation.
This mismanagement comes at the worst possible time for Los Blancos, as they prepare for a massive round of 16 showdown against Juventus.
The match, which will be played in just a few days, is one of the most anticipated games of the Club World Cup, and Real Madrid need their players fully rested and focused.
Instead, they arrived at their Palm Beach hotel in the early hours of the morning, with almost no time to sleep or recover from the intense match in Philadelphia.
Real Madrid will be hoping that the players can get enough rest before they return to training ahead of the Round of 16 tie against the Serie A giants..
However, the frustration inside the club is understandable. When competing for a global title, players deserve top-level organisation off the pitch to match their commitment on it — and in this case, FIFA have clearly fallen short.
