Real Madrid trolled: Celta Vigo announce squad to face Barcelona in CdR final | OneFootball

The social media team at Celta Vigo have on Friday moved to have some fun at the expense of La Liga rivals Real Madrid.

This comes amid the ongoing drama surrounding tomorrow’s Copa del Rey final.

Real Madrid have of course taken their place front and centre in the Spanish media headlines on Friday evening.

This comes amid an ongoing push to have the entire team of officials for Saturday’s Copa showpiece showdown with arch rivals Barcelona overhauled.

Left bemused by the comments laid out by referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea and his team in their pre-match press conference, Los Blancos released a statement, highlighting what they consider to be ‘animosity and hostility towards Real Madrid’.

Florentino Pérez and co, in turn, have reportedly gone as far as to threaten not to fulfill their duties in Seville on Saturday.

And as alluded to above, it is precisely such threats which have since been pounced upon by another of La Liga’s clubs, in Celta Vigo.

In a release across their social media platforms late on Friday, Celta – knocked out of the Copa del Rey by Real Madrid in controversial fashion back in January – unveiled their own squad of players to face Barcelona.

The post, which was no doubt intended in jest, is accompanied by the caption:
