Ederson has been one of the standout performers this season for Atalanta as they look to secure a top-four finish in Serie A.
The 25-year-old midfield enforcer has been a permanent fixture for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side, impressing not only in the Italian top-flight but also in the continental competitions, putting several elite clubs across Europe on high alert.
Now, according to AS, Real Madrid have already shown interest in acquiring Ederson from Atalanta ahead of the summer’s FIFA Club World Cup.
The Brazilian international made a big impression during the Champions League encounter between Los Blancos and Atalanta this season even though the Italians lost 2-3 at home.
With the Spanish heavyweights interested in reinforcing their midfield department in the summer, Ederson has thus emerged as a potential option for the club.

However, as mentioned earlier, there are a plethora of top clubs that have shown an interest in signing Ederson.
Indeed, according to the report, apart from Real Madrid, the 25-year-old is also on the radars of Manchester United, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus.
“Leaving? We do not know yet. We will see when the offers arrive. There are always enquiries, but nothing is decided,” Ederson’s agent Andre Cury had stated in a recent interview with AS.
Atalanta, for their part, are aware that keeping Ederson in Bergamo beyond this season appears difficult. As such, they are willing to offload the midfielder but will not let him leave cheaply.
Indeed, La Dea have slapped a €75 million price tag on their prized asset and will not settle for a lower fee.
What now remains to be seen is whether Real Madrid are willing to match that price or decide to explore alternatives such as Sandro Tonali of Newcastle United.
