Rodrygo
At Real Madrid, things are going from bad to worse for the young Brazilian, Rodrygo. On top of the club's desire to part ways with him, Rodrygo is reportedly struggling mentally.
It's utter chaos at Real Madrid this summer. After the humiliating defeat to PSG in the Club World Cup semi-final, the Spanish giants are determined to offload Rodrygo.
Once a substitute under Carlo Ancelotti, Rodrygo has seen his situation deteriorate further since Xabi Alonso's arrival. In the United States, the Brazilian featured in just three Club World Cup matches, totaling only 92 minutes on the pitch. Left unused in the round of 16 against Juventus and again in the semi-final versus PSG, Rodrygo received a clear message. Despite a contract running until 2028, the player won't be held back if a good offer comes in. Marca reported on Thursday that Los Blancos have asked him to leave.
The player is valued at 100 million euros. But will he be able to leave the Spanish capital? In recent hours, UOL has added a new twist to this saga. It's a new factor that doesn't really favor Rodrygo staying in Madrid.
"This is information from journalist Fernando Kallás: Rodrygo also has a mental health issue. He has gone through a process of burnout. It started with Ancelotti; he wanted to play more, he didn't want to be the guy who plays in the same position every day, and he went through a burnout process. He's taking care of his health and will probably continue to do so elsewhere, but his absence from the Club World Cup is due to this difficult personal period," revealed consultant Paulo Vinicius Coelho.
