Real Madrid stars show their support to Dani Carvajal following horror injury | OneFootball

Real Madrid managed to get a 2-0 win over the line against Villarreal on Saturday evening. One of the biggest talking points of the night was the horror injury which Dani Carvajal suffered in the dying moments of the clash.

Carvajal was seen screaming in agony and left the pitch in tears and on a stretcher following a clash with Yeremy Pino which saw the right-back over-extend his knee.

It would appear that the 32-year-old has suffered some form of knee ligament injury, and judging by the veteran’s reaction, it could keep him sidelined for a while.

Several of Carvajal’s Real Madrid teammates have come out in support of their friend and colleague, sending messages wishing him well and hoping for a positive outcome.

One of the first to share their support was Turkish youngster Arda Güler, who posted a message on his Instagram story reading ‘Get well soon captain. I’m sure you’ll come back stronger as soon as possible.’

Jude Bellingham also shared his support in a post-match interview, stating ‘We all are hoping that Dani Carvajal’s injury is a small one and he’s back soon. He’s a big player for us.‘
