Last month, a report revealed that Kylian Mbappé planned to take his financial dispute with Paris Saint-Germain to the Legal Commission of the Ligue de Football Professionnel.

The newly signed Real Madrid forward demanded that PSG pay him the €55 million in unpaid wages and bonuses he was owed. On Wednesday morning, the lawyers for both Mbappé and PSG met at the commission’s headquarters.

However, according to RMC Sport, the commission encouraged both parties to seek mediation to resolve the issue without further legal escalation.

In a statement sent to AFP, Mbappé’s entourage announced their rejection of the mediation proposed by the LFP regarding the financial dispute with PSG. Nonetheless, the player has eventually secured a victory over his former club.

On Thursday, Le Parisien reported that the LFP’s legal committee has ruled PSG must pay Kylian Mbappé €55 million in unpaid salaries and bonuses.

No further details have emerged regarding how PSG will pay their all-time leading goal scorer or when they need to pay him. Still, this is a blow to the Parisians, who appeared confident that they would win this financial dispute.
