Real Madrid’s management and coach Carlo Ancelotti are not on the same page regarding the current transfer window.
While Ancelotti has long believed that adding a new centre-back to the squad is necessary, the club has decided against making any moves.
In fact, reports from AS confirm that no signings are expected today, despite the window remaining open until 23:59.
The only potential change could come from an offer for one of the players already at the club, but there is no expectation of such an offer materialising either. In short, no new players will be joining Real Madrid for the time being.
Despite Antonio Rudiger’s injury causing concern and reigniting the debate about bolstering the defence, the club has chosen not to act.

Ancelotti had proposed the idea of strengthening the centre-back position more than a month ago, but without pushing for immediate action. He made his views clear, but in his usual manner, he refrained from applying pressure.
Early in January, there were discussions within the club about exploring the market for potential additions, even considering temporary solutions, like a right-back on a short-term deal.
However, no viable options were found that didn’t involve a significant financial commitment. Consequently, the decision was made to wait until the summer for new signings.
In the meantime, Real Madrid are counting on the return of David Alaba, whose strong performances have given the club confidence.
With Rudiger sidelined, Alaba is expected to take on a more prominent role, particularly for the upcoming match against Manchester.
Other players, including Raul Asensio, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Lucas Vazquez, are also expected to play key roles this season.
Despite the transfer window still being open, Real Madrid’s offices will remain quiet today as the club sticks to its plan of waiting until the summer to make any moves.
