Real Madrid send message to Barcelona after Copa del Rey final defeat | OneFootball

The social media team at Real Madrid were quick to send a message of congratulations the way of Barcelona, on the back of the meeting between the sides on Saturday.

The latest edition of El Clásico was of course played to completion yesterday evening.

After making the trip to La Cartuja in Seville, Real Madrid and Barcelona went toe-to-toe with silverware on the line in the finale of the Copa del Rey.

When all was said and done, it was the latter who emerged triumphant, owing to a 3-2 result.

All but bringing an end to their hopes of securing silverware for the season, as much marked a heavy blow for Carlo Ancelotti’s Real stars, a whole host of whom looked nothing short of devastated following the full-time whistle.

As alluded to above, though, this did not stop Los Blancos, as a club, from showcasing their respect for Barcelona post-match.

In a post released across their social media platforms in the early hours of Sunday, Real Madrid wrote:

‘Congratulations to FC Barcelona for their Copa del Rey 2025 victory.’
