Bellingham to return to his original role

In light of his goalscoring woes, a report from MARCA indicates that Carlo Ancelotti is now planning to shift Bellingham back to the position in which he thrived last season.

The arrival of Kylian Mbappe in the summer forced the coach to push Bellingham into a deeper midfield role, limiting his attacking influence.

Operating further away from the box, the Englishman has seen his offensive contributions reduced, managing only three assists thus far.

However, Ancelotti’s experiment with Bellingham in a deeper role has not yielded the desired results, prompting a change in strategy.

In Real Madrid’s upcoming crucial matches against Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona, Bellingham is expected to return to his more advanced position, one in which he was a top scorer last season with 23 goals.

This tactical adjustment aims to reinvigorate Bellingham’s attacking impact and help him break free from his goal drought.

With Mbappe now leading the scoring charts with eight goals, Real Madrid will be keen to restore the balance that allowed Bellingham to shine as one of the team’s offensive focal points.
