Real Madrid have received a timely boost ahead of their final La Liga fixture of the season, with both Raul Asensio and Brahim Diaz returning to group training, claims a report from MARCA.

The duo had missed the previous match against Sevilla due to injury but were back with the squad on Wednesday afternoon as preparations intensified for Saturday’s encounter with Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The return of the central defender and the versatile forward comes as welcome news for manager Carlo Ancelotti, who is facing a considerable list of absentees.

With several key players sidelined due to injury and one suspended, the options for rotation and tactical flexibility have been severely limited. The inclusion of Asencio and Brahim at least gives Ancelotti more depth for the season finale.

Real Madrid still have a lot to worry about

However, Real Madrid will still be without a number of first-team regulars. Brazilian sensation Endrick, who impressed in recent outings, was forced off during the clash against Sevilla and has since been ruled out after medical assessments confirmed the extent of his injury.

He joins an injury list that includes Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba, Vinícius Jr., and Rodrygo. Jude Bellingham is also unavailable due to suspension.

Despite the mounting injury concerns, the mood in training remained focused. The session began with a group warm-up, followed by drills centred around possession and pressing, reflecting the tactical intensity Ancelotti wants to maintain despite having already clinched the league title.

The training concluded with a competitive small-sided match, helping sharpen the squad’s rhythm ahead of the weekend.

Rodrygo and Bellingham, while unavailable, worked indoors to maintain fitness, while the medical team continues to monitor the progress of those undergoing recovery.
