La Liga giants Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the development of a member of the midfield ranks at Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.

That’s according to ESPN, citing the Daily Mail, who point towards Adam Wharton as the player in question.

The name of youngster Wharton has reemerged as an altogether prominent one in the media chatter in England over recent days.

This comes after the 21-year-old played a starring role en route to Crystal Palace shocking Liverpool in the Community Shield.

One particular assist laid on by Wharton has even culminated in comparisons to some of world football’s very best in the middle of the park.
